TinySwitch

The TinySwitch product family combines a high voltage power MOSFET and controller to implement off-line flyback power converters. The newest version - TinySwitch-5, expands the output power range to allow designs of up to 60 W with PCB cooling and and 190 W with an external heatsink, It realizes higher than 88% efficiency in 12 W universal design which maintains constant high efficiency across line and load. Transient response is extremely fast. 

Exceptional light load performance (>85% efficient at 1% load) means that TinySwitch-5 based designs easily meet upcoming ErP regulations by allowing more than 200 mW of available power under the new 300 mW stand-by input limit.  Designs using TinySwitch-5 devices feature very low component count and are simple to design with offering better than +/-3% variation in output voltage across line, load, temperature and across production.

TinySwitch devices are used across a wide range of applications requiring accurate CV or CV/CC output, including standby power for computers, consumer audio/video products, appliance and air conditioning bias supplies, chargers and adapters and a variety of industrial power sub-systems including metering and controls.
