HiperPFS-4 デバイスでは、連続動作モード (CCM) 昇圧 PFC コントローラ、ゲート ドライバ、及び 600 V 耐圧パワー MOSFET が単一の低背型 (GROUND ピンを接続) 電源用パッケージに組み込まれています。HiperPFS-4 デバイスは、電流センス抵抗を外付けする必要がなく、関連する電力損失を抑えることができます。画期的な制御技術を使用して、出力負荷、入力電圧、及び入力サイクルに対してスイッチング周波数を制御します。
この制御技術により、全負荷範囲、特に軽負荷時におけるエネルギー効率を最大限に高めることができます。さらに、広帯域に渡って、スペクトラム拡散効果が得られるため、EMI フィルタを簡素化出来ますの。HiperPFS-4 は、電圧監視、ライン フィードフォワードのスケーリング、力率の改善に先進のデジタル技術を使用する一方で、基本制御はアナログ技術を使用し、無負荷時消費電力を極めて低く抑えます。
HiperPFS-4 は、負荷過渡応答の向上のために非線形エラー アンプを内蔵し、ユーザー設定可能な Power Good (PG) 信号に加えて、ユーザー選択可能な電力制限機能も特徴としています。HiperPFS-4 には、低電圧保護 (UV)、過電圧保護 (OV)、起動/停止、自動復帰タイプ過熱保護機能などの Power Integrations の優れた多くの保護機能が標準搭載されています。HiperPFS-4 には、パワー MOSFET 用のパルス・バイ・パルス・カレントリミット及び安全動作領域 (SOA) 保護、過負荷保護用の出力電力制限、ピン間の短絡保護機能も内蔵されています。
