Is it feasible to feed Vout pin of inn2604K from a step up?

Posted by: oscarnavasbelmar on

We are involved in a new project for a 16 Watts power supply (3v3 output).

We want to have high efficiency, so we think to use INN2604K. Our output will be 3v3/4.5A  and will have a step-up to raise up to 10V. We don’t use a second winding because 10V load is not fixed, sometimes we don’t have load, therefore in that case Cross-regulation is very bad.

According with datasheet pin Vout Ic has to be fed with voltage above 4.45V, so:

1.    Can be fed this pin from a 10V output got from a step-up (see attached picture)?

2.    During start-up, how secondary bypass pin is fed. Does the voltage come from FWD pin?

It will be great if you can help me

No We don't recommend the design that feeding V-pin from External Step -up regulator.
