The domain certainly is worthy of the method of tender.

It will be interesting to see if any of the major ad agencies pick up on this and encourage one of their clients to bid. Even if a vanity TLD such as .power is introduced, I agree that the .com version will continue to be prevalent for many years to come.

IMO this is a good example of how a top tier domain should be offered for tender.

Power.com: That domain is a marketeers dream assignment, sports stadiums, team advertising, all &amp; any out of home advertising POWER.com and now think online. This domain is perfect media message for a national – international grid supplier. You will not be considered Power without the .com.
i.power / power.i / okay if apple.com moves into power generation.

For me, this will be something of a benchmark for the future in terms of the brands using the .com as the default brand and just defensively registering dot whatever directly or via speculators</description>
